WP 1 – Clinical Trials

One of the focus areas of Testbed Sweden is to support the design, planning and initiation of a pivotal, national frontline clinical study based on the concept of precision medicine for treatment of advanced stage cancer, the National PCM Study Sweden. The rationale and design of this study is similar to that of other precision cancer medicine (PCM) trials based on the Drug Rediscovery Protocol (DRUP), recently launched in Europe.

 

The work is carried out by members of the clinical oncology trial unit network (NASTRO) at the seven university hospitals together with other partners in Testbed Sweden.

Key Activities & Deliverables:

  • Establish a national testbed for scientific evaluation and implementation of precision health based on the performance of clinical trial pilots.

  • Design a national DRUP-like precision cancer medicine study in Sweden, building on the existing feasibility-oriented first pilot study MEGALiT.

  • Create a national PCM clinical trial site network
